The Doberman Pinscher was created in Apolda Germany in 1890 by a tax collector named Karl Fredrich Louis Dobermann. Created to join him as he went around collecting taxes, it was important that they be good around strangers and only protect once a threat is presented. The Doberman Pinscher makes a fantastic family dog. They bond deeply with their owners and adore children.
The Doberman is a medium sized breed with a short smooth coat. The males stand around 26 to 28 inches at the withers and usually weigh between 80 and 90 lbs, while females stand about 24 to 26 inches at the withers and usually weigh between 60 and 70lbs. The breed standard states this about the Doberman Pinscher:

Elegant in appearance, of proud carriage reflecting great nobility and temperament. Energetic, watchful, determined, alert, fearless, loyal, and obedient."

The Doberman Pinscher comes in 4 colors: Black and Rust, Red and Rust, Fawn and Tan, and Blue and Tan. Here at Cinematic Dobermans we do not condone the breeding of off standard colors, such as albino Dobermans and melanistic Dobermans. Albino Dobermans also come with a whole host of additional health issues such as photo sensitivity and increased risk of skin cancer. Often the people who breed them call them "white" but a study done by MSU has proven them to suffer from occultaneous albinism.
The Doberman Pinscher is a regal and noble breed that is said to have "The Look of Eagles".
